This wasnโt just a renovation. It was a complete transformation, delivered in collaboration with Keeps Architect .
Behind the original walls we uncovered extensive damp, failing structure and a house that had seen better days. With not one wall truly straight, around 95% of the property was stripped back to its shell before we could carefully rebuild and reshape the home.
The project involved significant demolition, extensive structural steelwork, replacing unsafe first floor structures, new drainage, a cleverly re-engineered roof structure, a full rewire and replumb, high performance insulation, a single storey side extension, a two storey rear extension and a complete redesign of the internal spaces. No corner was left untouched.
Every stage presented new challenges to overcome, but staying true to the clientโs brief, we remained committed to preserving the character that made this property special.
A collection of original beams were carefully restored and repurposed, ensuring the homeโs heritage remained at the heart of the design.
The result is a beautiful home that feels as though it has always belonged here, combining timeless character with thoughtful design and modern living.
