🌟4x Planning Committee Approvals 🌟

PHA had a fantastic FDC planning meeting this week, with all four applications unanimously approved by members! 🎉

A brilliant result for our clients and great to see such a diverse range of proposals in Fenland.

The applications included:

1. Re-development of a village brownfield site for 6x dwellings.
2. 1x Self-Build dwelling.
3. Re-development of an MOT garage to create a single dwelling.
4. Change of use of an agricultural field to provide camping pitches.

Fenland councillors have raised concerns over new national planning rules being "forced" upon councils by Government.

From 31 October, the Government's mandatory National Scheme of Delegation (NSD) will come into force, changing the way planning applications are decided in England.

Council Leader, Cllr Chris Boden, said: "They represent an erosion of democratic decision-making, but we are being legally required to implement them regardless."

Proposed changes to the Council's Constitution to implement the new requirements will be considered by Full Council next week.

This weekend saw the opening event of the replacement clubhouse for Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club. PHA have worked closely with the club committee to deliver the building in conjunction contractors D Brown Building Contractors Ltd and QS Addison Hunt. PHA have overseen the planning application and building regulation phases, as well as being on hand throughout the construction phase.

Fenland District Council and West Norfolk Council have Call for Sites consultations running, running until 31 March and 30 April respectively.

Both councils are looking to allocate future potential development sites in the area for a wide range of land uses including: Housing, Retail, Commercial, Mixed Use and Community facilities.
