🔧 When the heating is louder than the people using the room

People using the Weeke Community Centre had made complaints about the noise coming from a hydronic fan convector, which was straightforward to resolve.
We removed the noisy unit and replaced it with a conventional radiator.

Fan convectors can be useful for heating spaces quickly, but the fan can create unwanted background noise and in a community hall used for meetings, activities and events this can become a real nuisance.

We switched to a conventional radiator to address the noise issue and provided a more suitable heating solution for the space.

🔥 This Viessmann regular boiler was definitely in need of a good clean.

The heat exchanger had a build-up of deposits, affecting how efficiently heat could be transferred through the system. Left unchecked, this can increase energy use and put additional strain on the boiler, potentially leading to more costly repairs further down the line.

The system filter was also doing its job, catching sludge and debris before it could circulate around the heating system.

Regular servicing helps keep the boiler operating efficiently and can identify problems early, before they develop into bigger issues.

🔥 A leaking heat exchanger meant this Baxi boiler had reached the end of the road.

The failed boiler was removed and replaced with a new Worcester 4000, along with a new magnetic filter to help capture sludge and debris within the heating system and protect the new boiler.

With the system fully tested and the inhibitor topped up, the customer can now enjoy reliable heating with the added peace of mind of a 10-year Worcester warranty.

🔥 This Viessmann boiler looked to be running perfectly, so what was discovered during the service?

This boiler was installed a couple of years ago and has been regularly serviced, which showed during our recent visit.

Everything was generally looking good, with just a small amount of scale starting to build up on the internal heat exchanger. Nothing major, but it is exactly why regular servicing matters.
