The damp patch that keeps coming back 🌫️
Condensation isn't a leak — it's moisture with nowhere to go. Showering, cooking, drying washing indoors and simply breathing put litres of water into the air every day, and in a well-sealed home it settles on the coldest surfaces: window reveals, the corner behind the wardrobe, the sealant round the bath. Wipe the mould off and it comes back, because the cause is still sitting in the air.
A Nuaire Drimaster-Eco Heat HC positive input ventilation unit went into the loft of a home in Ensbury Park, Bournemouth, fed from a local circuit with its own isolator at high level on the landing. It works by gently pushing a steady supply of filtered air in through a single ceiling diffuser, so damp indoor air is diluted and displaced instead of being left to condense. It runs quietly in the background and the whole house feels drier for it. A whisper-quiet timed extractor fan went in alongside to deal with moisture at source, and a minor works certificate was issued on completion.
Landlords, letting agents and managing agents — damp and mould complaints in rented homes are far easier to answer with ventilation that actually works than with another coat of paint. We fit PIV across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
