🌊 Coastal home progress - surprise visit 🌊

A surprise site visit from our Director Ryan Martin to one of our (very nearly) completed SIPs timber-frame homes on the south Dorset coast.

The constrained site presented some interesting design challenges, with a series of externally mounted vertical fins introduced to draw an abundance of natural light deep into the plan, respecting the privacy of neighbouring properties.

Great to see this one coming together...more photos to follow...

Ollie is our newest recruit, recently graduated from Plymouth university with a BA in architecture.

It’s not taken Ollie long to fit in with the team, working on a broad selection of our current projects and making his mark.

When not behind a desk, you’ll find Ollie hunting out the best espresso and walking our beautiful coastline 🌊

Site update ➡️

Great to see Underwood Farmhouse taking shape, with the steel frame now erected, first-fix carpentry underway and the natural swimming pool sculpted into the landscape.

Set at the head of a south-west-facing valley, the farm is a haven for wildlife, with exceptional ecological value and rare species of raptor frequenting the surrounding landscape.

An exciting project to see progressing in such a special setting.

From initial concept and planning through to construction and completion, this project has been carefully considered at every stage, resulting in a highly efficient, beautiful, contemporary home.

Adam’s been a key part of the team working on our Trokes Coppice site over the past few years.

When he’s not perfecting CAD drawings, you’ll find him whittling, practising ancient crafts or tinkering with cars.
And yes, there’s a good chance he’s dressed as a Viking while doing it. 🛡️

Seven years in, Lotta has become an integral part of the team, bringing her creativity and experience to one-off homes, commercial projects and interiors.

When she’s not designing, you’ll find her walking her two dogs, horse riding… or tearing down walls in her own place. Because apparently designing all week isn’t enough. 🔨🐴🐾
