Boston Ivy. This one is kept in check annually. It has specialized tendrils with adhesive pads so it self clings to walks, fences etc. It's growth rate can typically be 3 to 10 feet a year. This can increase to 30 to 50 feet a year in a mature plant. It's a stunning plant, but it does need maintenance.

A colony of Ivy Bees (Colletes hederae), a species of solitary, ground-nesting bee. They are the last solitary bee species to emerge in the UK each year. They remain active from late August through October, perfectly timing their life cycle to forage almost exclusively on flowering autumn ivy.
