Grass typically takes between 1 to 6 weeks to recover from drought and start turning green again once regular rainfall occurs. Over the last week we have had some good heavy rain and you can already see the grass is turning green following it's dormancy in the drought.

It finally rained today, but I took this photo first. We have been using grey water to water our tree. The grass under the tree has returned to green whilst the rest of the lawn stays straw coloured. The very pale patch was where a pond used to be.
