U11s Match Report
Sunday morning at Pinfold saw our Under 11s full of confidence after showcasing some fantastic rugby over the last few weeks.
Bridge picked up exactly where they left off last week. Their defensive effort from the first whistle was there for everyone to see and has become the solid foundation for some outstanding team performances.
Corey, Harrison and Alfie were putting themselves about in the middle, creating opportunities for Jack at 9 to bring Ashton and Kade into the game. It really is a joy to watch this team at the moment.
Out on the wings, Brogen and Logan once again demonstrated textbook tackling technique. Their ability to scramble in defence and back each other up is a huge part of what makes this side such a fantastic team. The hard work being put in by the coaches is now there for all to see.
Bridge started quickly and capitalised on several Halton errors, forcing mistakes through their aggressive and organised defence. A special mention must also go to our other Logan. The lad is lightning quick and has been a great addition to the side.
Every player played their part in the victory, and all the parents and coaches are incredibly proud of the group. There’s a real positive feeling around the team at the moment, and it’s fully deserved.
The final score was 30–4, and with a few missed conversions, the margin could have been even greater. Earlier in the season, the reverse fixture was decided by a late Bridge try, with Bridge winning by just a single score. That makes this result a great measure of how far the team has progressed.
