Lovely bit of feedback about one of our engineers. 💙

The customer told us that of all the contractors on their refurbishment, Lewis was "in a class of his own" — smart, knowledgeable, punctual, and a pleasure to have in their home.

We already knew he was good. Nice to hear it from a customer too. Well done Lewis 👏

RPS is proud to support local employment and training through our social value commitments.

Working with Employment Team, we recruited Lacey, who joined RPS in September 2026 as a Business & Administration Apprentice. 🎓

A big thank you to Poppi Gallagher and the WCHG team for helping connect us with local talent. We’re delighted to support Lacey as she builds her skills and experience while working towards her qualification. 👏

We have been shortlisted for Contractor of the Year at the H&V News Awards 2026, and our founder Graham Rothwell is shortlisted for the Outstanding Achievement Award. 💙

The nominations reflect the work our teams deliver every day across our heating, electrical, mechanical & renewable programmes.

Congratulations to everyone else shortlisted. We look forward to attending the awards in November in London.🏆

We are continuing to invest in apprenticeships. Welcoming our newest electrical apprentice Cameron. 🧑🏻‍🔧⚡

Cameron is one of 6 apprentices that we currently have studying with one of our college partners@wiganleighcollege

Demand for apprenticeship places is high and securing a role with a real employer is hard for young people. Every place we open is a local young person learning a trade close to home, on live projects, alongside people who've made the same journey themselves. That's what long-term investment in a place looks like.

Training people locally makes it more likely that those skills stay in the community, creating a lasting legacy that goes well beyond the project itself.

We were proud to support Benchill Community Centre by installing a new outside tap for their community garden. 🌷

What was once hours of carrying watering cans is now a quick and easy task, giving the Benchill Bloomers more time to do what they love – planting, growing and creating a welcoming space for everyone.

Vicky, Benchill Community Centre said:

"I’d like to say a massive thank you to the Rothwell Group for your kind support installing an outside tap in our garden. This will be a great help to the gardening project — we can now make sure our plants are watered every day with ease. Feel free to come back and see how the garden has grown."

Carisbrooke Court, Sunderland – Castles & Coasts Housing Association

We’ve recently completed heating upgrades at Carisbrooke Court in Sunderland - a fantastic building providing 31 one-bedroom apartments for over 55s. 💙

Works involved upgrading the plant room by delivering new high-efficiency boilers, upgraded pipework, gas services, and hot water systems across the scheme.

Another great job by the team👏

Great to see our project for featured in the Chartered Association of Building Engineers Magazine.

Funded through the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority Net Zero Fund, the scheme is already delivering meaningful outcomes for residents, with fuel bills expected to reduce by around £300 per year per household, alongside improved comfort and wellbeing. 💙

Valerie Jones, a resident of Alex Lyon House for 13 years, said:

“Since the new heating system has been fitted, I’ve not had to use my asthma inhaler once, my flat’s roomier as the new radiators are thinner and wider, and now I can get hotter water when I want it.”

RPS Group - Rothwell Plumbing Services is committed to supporting healthier, happier homes across our work. We're delighted the new systems are already making such a difference to residents like Valerie😊

Huge congratulations to Charlie Cowburn, who’s been named Apprentice of the Month at Wigan & Leigh College and University Centre 🥇

Charlie stood out for his strong understanding of plumbing systems and his positive, hardworking attitude on every task. As a well-earned reward, he received a toolbag and tools kindly donated by Tilgear.👏

RPS Group - Rothwell Plumbing Services are incredibly proud of Charlie and the 225 apprenticeships we’ve created and supported to date.

Watching young people grow in skill, confidence, and industry knowledge is exactly what our apprenticeships are all about.💙
