A YEAR ON, AND ARCHIE’S JOURNEY CONTINUES! 🏑 As proud sponsors of Archie, we’re delighted to see how far he’s come since becoming Young Player of the Year at Golborne and Prescot Hockey Club.

After representing the Men’s 3rd XI last season, Archie progressed to the 2nd XI, competing in the North West Division 3 League and Lancashire Cup. He also continued to represent Lancashire U14s before being selected for the U15s at the National County Hockey Championships in Nottingham.

That tournament gave Archie his first chance to play on an international-standard water-based pitch, whilst enjoying a fantastic residential experience with his teammates.

And there’s been even more progress this season. Archie has already been selected twice for the Men’s 1st XI, including a trip to Tarporley where he helped the team secure a 1-0 friendly victory over Deeside Ramblers.

Alongside his senior hockey, Archie continues to represent the club’s Development Team and take part in North West youth tournaments. He’s also chosen GCSE Physical Education, with hockey unsurprisingly one of his assessed sports.

Everyone at E-Tech wishes Archie all the best for the season ahead. We’re proud to support his journey and can’t wait to cheer him on at a home fixture soon! 👏

SOLAR & STORAGE LIVE 2026 ☀️🔋 A Brummy twang in the air, thousands of people through the doors and, by the looks of LinkedIn over the past month, everyone talking about one thing!

Make no mistake, Solar & Storage Live at the NEC is one of, if not the biggest exhibition of the year. And it’s easy to see why. They’ve built up some serious momentum around the event.

For our ‘Centre of the Universe’ Midlands colleagues, Chris and Taylor, it was an easy trip down. But exhibitions like this aren’t simply a nice day out of the office. There’s plenty of thought that goes into them beforehand. Who’s exhibiting? Who do we want to catch up with? Which conversations could actually add value to the business?

It was great to put that planning into practice, catching up with familiar faces from our partner brands, as well as meeting plenty of new ones along the way.

And yes, the E-Tech shirts got a few mentions too. Always a good conversation starter! 🤝

We came away genuinely excited about what’s ahead, particularly as we continue building momentum in the UK BESS space. It’s moving quickly, and there’s a lot of opportunity ahead.
