Check out this beautiful Oak coffee table that has just left the workshop. Made entirely from Oak that was destined to be binned or burned.. I can't stand to see such a beautiful and precious resource go to waste so I rescued it, and after lots of work ended up with this.
Celebrating the different grain patterns, colouring and natural defects, rather than attempting to hide them.

I do love getting in the workshop and creating smaller items now and then. It was my buddy's birthday recently so I made him this oak presentation box to hold a hip flask, shot glasses, and a few ci**rs.
You wouldn't think that just a few week ago the oak for this was some unloved floorboards about to go to the tip. A little love, alot of planing and some elbow grease gave this beautiful timber a new lease of life :)
