🏠 5-minute heating check for homeowners

Turn your heating on.
Set the thermostat above the current room temperature.
Check that the boiler fires up.
Walk around and feel your radiators.
Check your hot water.

If you've found a problem, now is the time to sort it. 👍

🥶 The first cold morning is NOT the time to discover your heating doesn't work!

Homeowners should turn their heating on for 15–20 minutes while it's still relatively mild.

To check:

🔥 Does the boiler fire up?
🌡️ Do the radiators get warm?
🚿 Is hot water working properly?
🎛️ Is the thermostat responding?
🔊 Is the boiler making any unusual noises?
❄️ Are any radiators staying cold?

If something isn't right, get it checked now rather than waiting until the first freezing morning.

🌡️ The best time to find a heating problem is before you actually need your heating!

Now is the time to consider running your heating for a little while, the heating system has been sat dormant for the summer and if you wait until you actually need it, it may not work. Give it a little test. If you have any issues, get in touch and we can help.

Nice sunny Monday for an air conditioning installation.

We started the installation of a “multi split” system (means you can have 1 outdoor unit but several indoor units) in Killingworth this morning,

We will be completing this installation over 2 days and the client will be able to cool their lounge and bedroom on warm days and heat in winter, they can even control it through their smart home devices (Alexa or Google home).
