Another roof put right by Tyne Roofing 🔨

The customer had been told a new GRP roof had been installed. Our inspection confirmed the existing felt roof had remained in place, with GRP trims fitted and the surface coated with Aquapol.

A year later, the roof was leaking heavily, with a significant opening allowing water into the bathroom below.

We stripped the roof back, re-boarded, installed new underlay and fitted a new high-performance 3-layer felt system.

We also provided photographic evidence throughout the works, giving the customer a clear record of exactly what had been carried out.

No more leaks — another roof properly restored and another very happy customer. 🏠

A customer contacted Tyne Roofing after paying a building company £950 for new chimney flaunching. Unfortunately, following the work, the customer began experiencing damp coming through to the breast wall. After contacting the original company to raise the issue, the customer was unable to get a response, with her calls being blocked.

She then contacted Tyne Roofing to investigate and put the problem right. We carried out the necessary remedial work for a fraction of the original cost and also installed two gas cowls to improve ventilation.

The customer is now happy with the result, the damp has dried out, and we were delighted to receive another great review.

The first two photos show the previous work carried out by the building company, with the final photo showing the work completed by Tyne Roofing, including the new ventilation cowls.

New felt roof installed in Winlaton using a high-performance 3-layer felt system. On opening the roof, we found there was no insulation present. The customer was informed and agreed to the additional cost to have insulation installed before the new roof was completed.

Roof repair completed today 🏠

We stripped the lower section of the roof, removed the collapsed felt, installed new PVC eaves trays and fitted breathable membrane to replace the failed existing felt.

A previous roofer had installed a new Sarnafil roof at the property; however, approximately one year later, the roof had failed and was no longer performing as it should. Upon inspection, I identified the cause of the failure and, after taking up the existing sarnafil system, found that it had not been installed to the required standard. The failed system was therefore completely removed and replaced with a new high-performance felt roofing system, installed correctly to provide a durable, watertight and long-lasting finish.
