🌹Here is a fabulous example of how an imaginative design can completely transform a small, new-build garden on Waddow Heights in Clitheroe.
We introduced a natural Raj Green sandstone patio finished in mixed-sized flags, warm golden gravel, curved edging with matching cobbles and a generously planted border to soften the boundaries and draw the eye around the garden.
The planting is a really important part of the finished design — combining evergreen structure, colourful perennials, architectural foliage and contrasting forms to give interest at different heights and throughout the seasons. The Japanese maple adds a beautiful focal point, as does the stunning Lacy Lady tree in the centre, while the standards against the wall give height and structure without taking up valuable ground space.
The sweeping curves (I love curves 😁) help the garden feel larger and more relaxed, while the gravel keeps the central area practical and relatively low maintenance.
Finally we added spike lights to ensure this beautiful effect continues into the late evening.
Thankyou as always to my very talented team, Lee & Dillon.
A lovely example of just how much can be achieved in a smaller space. 🌿
