A little look at one of our recent residential projects.

It’s always satisfying seeing a project develop from the early design stages into a coordinated set of drawings. We’ve been working on some particularly interesting projects recently and I wanted to share a little of what goes on behind the scenes.

I hope to see this one progress onto site in due course.

A big thank you to Joel Scragg and KOREC Group for taking the time today to demonstrate the Trimble X9 laser scanner in Weymouth.

I have to say I was genuinely impressed with what this equipment is capable of. The speed, accuracy and level of information that can be captured is unlike anything I have previously seen and leaves very little room for error in the surveying process.

As an Architect, the accuracy of existing building information is fundamental to good design and risk management, so it was fascinating to see how reality capture technology continues to evolve.

Many thanks again to Joel for the demonstration and insight into the future of digital surveying.

It's been a busy few weeks at Rosenkelly Architectural Design, with a number of positive outcomes across Dorset.

Recent successes include:

• Listed Building Consent granted for works to a Grade II listed dwelling.
• Full Plans approval granted without conditions for a large detached residential garage.
• Full Plans approval granted without conditions for a loft conversion.
• Planning accepted in principle for a mixed-use development.
• Planning accepted in principle for an garage within a conservation area, including a new rural access.
• Assisting in securing a Lawful Development Certificate for works within a public space.

Every project is different, but it's always rewarding to help clients move forward with confidence.

Good to see the tennis courts at Victoria Gardens back open and looking smart.

Rosenkelly Architectural Design was pleased to assist Portland Town Council in securing Full Planning Permission for the replacement fencing within the Conservation Area.

The finished result looks great and it's encouraging to see continued investment in public facilities on Portland.

Design for a single-storey outbuilding replacing an existing garage at the rear of the property.

Carefully positioned between boundary lines, the proposal creates a clear distinction between the garden and rear access driveway while remaining subservient to the main dwelling.

The new outbuilding accommodates a home gym and tool shed.
