A Lifestyle Space Built for Balance

In Walton-On-Thames, we helped this client create a sanctuary right in their back garden. A gym for early starts. An office for clear thinking. And a sauna to end the day with intention.
This multifunctional space reflects exactly what we love to build: environments that elevate the everyday.

Join Creig for a tour of this completed bespoke garden room in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

In the video, Creig shares the thinking behind a project that needed to fulfil three very different purposes: providing a professional home office, a private gym and a peaceful sauna sanctuary.

Rather than treating these as separate additions, the complete building was designed as one cohesive environment.

The office creates a calm and dedicated place for focused work. The gym makes exercise easily accessible, while the sauna offers somewhere private to relax and restore at the end of the day.

Creig talks through the finished project and shows how the layout, premium materials and thoughtful details allow each area to work effectively without making the building feel disconnected.

This is what bespoke design means to us. We don’t ask clients to adapt their lives to a standard garden room. We create the space around the way they genuinely want to use it.

The result is a beautiful extension of the home that supports productivity, wellbeing and everyday living throughout the year.

What could an unused area at the end of your garden become? 🌿
This bespoke garden room in Cobham was individually designed and handcrafted to sit naturally within its mature garden setting.

The finished space features warm timber cladding, anthracite-framed sliding doors, corner glazing and a fully insulated interior with heating, air conditioning, recessed lighting and wood-effect flooring. A paved terrace and coordinating garden storage complete the transformation.
Designed for year-round comfort, this versatile space could evolve with the family—whether used as a garden office, gym, studio, relaxation room or somewhere to spend time together.

What exactly is an Optisoul garden room?

Let’s begin with what it isn’t: it is not simply a posh shed at the bottom of the garden!

An Optisoul garden room is a fully insulated, high-quality living space that has been individually designed around your property, lifestyle and vision.

It begins with properly considered groundwork and foundations. From there, Creig and the team construct the building on site, carefully integrating the insulation, glazing, electrics, lighting, flooring and finishes required to make it comfortable and practical throughout the year.

Your room might become a dedicated home office, private gym, creative studio, teenage den, wellness retreat or flexible family space. It could also combine several of these purposes within one intelligent design.

Most importantly, it should feel like a natural extension of your home—not an unrelated building that has simply been placed in the garden.

Every Optisoul project is bespoke, thoughtfully constructed and built with genuine care.

So no, it isn’t a posh shed. It is a completely new way to experience your home and garden.

Imagine stepping into your garden and having your own private wellness retreat waiting for you…

For this bespoke Weybridge project, we created a complete outdoor living space designed for relaxation, entertaining and year-round family enjoyment.

The transformation includes a contemporary, fully insulated garden room, private sauna and beautifully covered hot tub area, complete with recessed lighting, elegant vertical cladding and feature stonework.

Large sliding glass doors connect the garden room with the lawn and existing swimming pool, while natural stone paving, fresh landscaping, a central water feature, sculptural planting and an outdoor serving area bring the entire garden together.

The result is a luxurious yet welcoming space where the family can swim, entertain, enjoy the sauna, relax in the hot tub or simply spend more time together outdoors.

Every Optisoul garden room is individually designed and carefully built around your home, garden and lifestyle.

If you are considering a bespoke garden room, sauna retreat, hot tub enclosure or complete outdoor living transformation, call Creig on 01932 840 880.

🧱 Garden Room or Home Extension? What Makes More Sense Today?

Extensions are great — but they’re not always the smartest option.

Here’s what we see time and again:
📦 Home extension:
Costly
Messy
Invasive to everyday life
Weeks (or months) of scaffolding, dust, and delays

🌿 Garden room:
Built separately
Calm, clean, and beautiful
No disruption to your kitchen, lounge or lifestyle
Fast, high-quality, personalised

✨ More freedom. Less faff.

❄️☀️ Is Your Garden Room Really Insulated for Year-Round Use?

If it’s too hot in summer or freezing in winter… you’ve been sold a shell, not a sanctuary.

Here’s what to ask your builder:
✅ What insulation is used in the walls, floor AND roof?
✅ Are there breathable membranes and vapour barriers?
✅ Are the doors and windows thermally rated?
✅ Is it a flat-pack kit or a fully bespoke build?

At Optisoul, we build properly from the ground up — with heart, soul, and layers that work in all seasons.

💬 You’ll feel the difference in every corner.
