We were delighted to welcome our residential installers to an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit at Daikin’s Ostend factory.

The morning included briefings on sustainability and decarbonisation, our role in driving innovation across the HVAC sector, and a sneak peek at upcoming products.

The factory tour, seeing the scale and precision of our operations up close, gave attendees real insight into the workmanship behind every Daikin unit.

Our customers spent the final morning at the Daikin EMEA Development Centre (EDC) in Ghent. The EDC is where Daikin turns tangible research into the climate‑changing technologies of tomorrow. With its main headquarters located in Ostend and Ghent (Belgium), the EDC represents an international network working towards innovation in the HVAC‑R industry through research and development.

We finished the day with relaxed networking at a lovely local venue. Thanks to everyone who joined us for an informative and memorable experience.

Yesterday, over 50 hospitality professionals made it to the Tate Modern for our first Daikin Hotel Summit. Tube strike and all.

It was a brilliant day. The conversations were honest, the questions were genuinely interesting, and the energy in the room was exactly what you'd hope for at an event like this.

We spent the day exploring what hotel decarbonisation actually looks like in practice: reducing emissions, cutting energy waste, and protecting long-term asset value through heat pump technology, system optimisation, and proper planning.

One thing came through clearly in the room. The most successful projects don't start with products. They start with a real understanding of how a building operates, where energy is being lost, and what improvement looks like over time.

Plenty of follow-up conversations already underway. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a worthwhile day.

We were honoured to welcome Martin McCluskey, Minister for Energy Consumers, to Daikin’s Manchester Training Academy on 4th June.

The Minister toured the facility, met installers undertaking heat pump training and joined a live Daikin Heat Boot Camp, even trying our VR training headsets.

This government visit recognises the role Daikin is playing in workforce development and shows how the Heat Training Grant is enabling more heating professionals to gain low‑carbon skills. Since the start of the year, hundreds of installers have already completed training at the centre.

Together with our Sustainable Home Centres and college partnerships, the Academy demonstrates Daikin’s long‑term commitment to developing the next generation of heat pump engineers.
