MDC Electrical Installations Ltd An electrical contracting company offering all kinds of work in the domestic, commercial and industrial sector in the south west.

I've been working in the electrical industry for nearly 14 years. I started my apprenticeship with C J Deighton and Co in September 2000 and worked for them for 7 years. I then left to join IDC Electrical Services Ltd in May 2007 and worked for them until now. I now feel that time is right to go it alone and set up my own company and continue to provide high quality safe electrical installations.

It’s been an extremely busy few months at MDC I’ve taken on a new apprentice in Leighton Dyer who’s doing very well.
We’re juggling multiple projects and customers in both domestic and commercial sectors. I haven’t had much chance to show off any completed work as I often finish my part before the jobs tidied up (I always clear up my mess!) it’s been decorated or I simply forget to take photos before I leave!
Here’s a job completed today. A carpet storage warehouse that used to be a furniture production warehouse. When this company took over the building and installed their storage racking most of the lights were in completely the wrong place and eventually failed becoming a big dark cave. These new high bay batons complete with micro wave sensors fitted make it a much brighter place and much more energy efficient.
The offices and corridors are next when I find a bit of time

I’ve packed up my tools for the last time this year. It been an extremely busy time as it always is! Thank you to all my customers old and new, I hope you all have a great Christmas and new year.

Hi everyone. Following Monday nights announcement by the Prime Minister I have decided to shut down the NORMAL operation MDC Electrical with immediate effect. Although myself and my family remain unaffected I don’t want to take unnecessary chances.

I will still answer the phone for questions and advice and will be available for emergencies only at your homes and businesses where your lighting, power sockets, ovens and heating/hot water is affected. I can’t promise to be able to do complete repairs as this will depend on availability of materials in my stock or at wholesalers while they are still open. All I ask if we are needed is that we both maintain the safe distances apart.

I wish everyone well in these difficult times, stay safe, keep calm and see you on the other side!
