🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW! 🎉

Today we’re wishing a very happy birthday to the man behind MJW Bathrooms & Tiling… and apparently the “boss” 😂

Since taking the plunge and starting MJW, Matthew has worked incredibly hard to build the business from the ground up and it’s been amazing watching it grow so far!

Not only has this year brought MJW but also becoming a dad to Oscar and somehow he still finds time to keep me entertained too! 😂🩵

We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and excited for everything still to come.

Have the best birthday, doing what you do best… a bathroom!🎂🥳

✨ En Suite Shower Room Transformation ✨

A little throwback to a project we completed just before we headed off on holiday! 🛠️

This en suite needed a full transformation, with all of the walls needing to be rebuilt and restudded before we could get started with the finishing touches.

⭐️Stunning herringbone feature wall in the shower area
⭐️Fully tiled walls
⭐️Fully tiled floor
⭐️Customer-supplied materials, professionally fitted by MJW Bathrooms & Tiling

It was a tight squeeze getting this one completed before we went away but we got there! 💪🏼

We’re now back from holiday and getting back into the flow of normality, so we’ve been a little slower with the posts than usual — apologies! 😂

More projects and transformations coming very soon 👀

What a difference! 😍

This bathroom was transformed for a lovely couple who wanted a more accessible and practical space.

⭐ Bath removed and replaced with a walk-in shower
⭐ Bespoke stud partition built around the large window to create the perfect shower layout
⭐ Stylish white marble wet wall panels
⭐ New modern white toilet & sink unit
⭐ All pipework moved neatly underneath the floor
⭐ Ceiling cladding added for a clean, low-maintenance finish
⭐ 4 new LED spotlights fitted by the electrician
⭐ Light switch relocated to the landing wall
⭐ Flooring left ready for their son, who is a floor fitter himself, to complete

A bathroom that’s now easier to use, more practical and still looks fantastic. 🩵

As always, big shoutout to Bobby Deane for the electrical work. Reliable, efficient and a hit with our customers! ⚡️

✨ A FEW MORE PHOTOS FROM THIS TRANSFORMATION! ✨

We shared the before & after video of this project a few days ago so here are some more photos showing the finished bathroom and the finer details. 🛁🔨

⭐ Full bathroom stripped back after the original wet room installation failed
⭐ Rotten flooring removed and replaced with new floorboards
⭐ New slate shower tray installed
⭐ Floor fully re-tiled
⭐ Existing stud wall repaired and made structurally sound
⭐ Beautiful botanical feature wall created 🌿
⭐ Existing shower system and bathroom furniture re-fitted, as they were still in brilliant condition

The finished result is a bathroom that feels brand new, without the cost of replacing everything. 🙌

Sometimes a bathroom just needs the right repairs, a few upgrades and a quality installation to give it a whole new lease of life. 🤩

✨ FROM FAILED WET ROOM TO BRAND NEW BATHROOM! ✨

The customer had a fully tiled wet room installed a few years ago but unfortunately it hadn’t been installed correctly and eventually failed! This caused water to make its way through the bathroom floor and into the kitchen ceiling below! 😳💧

We stripped the bathroom back completely and once we lifted the floor tiles, discovered the damage was much worse than expected. The floor had become so rotten from water ingress that the entire bathroom floor had to be replaced with new floorboards.

We then:

⭐ Removed the failed wet room installation
⭐ Replaced the rotten bathroom floor
⭐ Installed a new slate shower tray
⭐ Retiled the floor
⭐ Removed tiles from one wall
⭐ Repaired and strengthened the existing stud wall which wasn’t structurally sound
⭐ Created a stunning botanical feature wall 🌿
⭐ Re-fitted the existing shower system and bathroom furniture, which were still in brilliant condition

The result? 🤩 A bathroom that feels completely brand new, without the customer having to pay for an entirely new bathroom suite.

Sometimes you don’t need to start again — you just need the right repairs, a few upgrades and a proper installation. 💪

Another bathroom transformation complete… this time for Mum & Dad! 🛁

There’s always a bit more pressure when working for family… because there’s nowhere to hide if they don’t like it! 😂

Luckily, they loved the finished result!

They originally had a walk-in shower but realised they were really missing the luxury of a bath, so we gave the bathroom a fresh new look.

⭐ Removed the shower tray and old tiles
⭐ Installed a brand-new bath
⭐ Fitted modern wet wall panels for a sleek, easy-to-clean finish
⭐ Added a matching splashback around the sink area
⭐ Replaced the peeling black fixtures with timeless chrome fittings

A simple change that completely transformed the space and gave them the best of both worlds — a practical shower area with the relaxing bath they’d been missing. 🩵

🏡 Calling all landlords… Is your property ready for its next tenants?

A full bathroom renovation isn’t always necessary before re-letting a property. Sometimes, a well-planned refresh is all it takes to create a clean, modern space that’s durable, easy to maintain, and ready for new tenants.

➡️ Swipe to see the before & after.

For this project we:
⭐ Fitted wet wall panels over the existing tiles
⭐ Built a frame inside the window to extend the wall, allowing a shower screen to be installed
⭐ Replaced the toilet
⭐ Fitted new bath and basin taps
⭐ Installed a new bath panel

The result? A fresh, practical bathroom completed without the expense of a full rip-out.

If you’re a landlord, letting agent or property investor with a property that needs updating between tenancies or if you just want quick bathroom refresh for your own home, we’d be happy to help.

✨ Before ➡️ After ✨

A closer look at all the details that completely transformed this bathroom.

One of the biggest changes was making use of the empty space behind the bath by creating bespoke built-in shelving with integrated downlights. This not only gave our customer the extra storage they wanted but also added a luxurious feature that completely elevates the space.

We also:
🤍 Moved all the pipework beneath the floor for a cleaner, more spacious finish
✨ Installed low-maintenance wet wall panels
🌿 Fitted beautiful oak vanity units
💛 Finished the room with elegant brass fixtures
🛁 Installed a deep bath for the perfect place to relax

It’s amazing what thoughtful design and quality workmanship can achieve.
