A bird’s-eye view of one of our latest renewable energy projects ☀️🔋
Marcoe Renewables recently completed a major solar PV and battery storage installation at Simmtronic’s headquarters in Hoddesdon.
Designed around a live manufacturing facility, the project includes:
☀️ 171 solar panels
⚡ 78.66 kWp of solar capacity
🔋 265.2 kWh of battery storage
🏭 Four independently connected systems
🔌 Emergency backup power for critical services
📊 Live performance data connected to Simmtronic’s digital twin
The system is expected to generate 73,283 kWh of renewable electricity each year, provide around 55% of the site’s electricity demand and reduce annual carbon emissions by approximately 25,932 kg.
Careful planning and close collaboration allowed us to complete the roof installation while Simmtronic’s manufacturing operations continued. All four systems were producing solar energy within four weeks of starting work on the roof.
