We would like to announce that Monty Mix now has a batching plant and drum mixers! Today was the first day we did our first pour making some concrete Lego blocks using the batching plant and we couldn’t be happier after many months of hard work by the team. This will now allow us to deliver concrete quicker and enables us to bring in extra drum mixers when required for larger pours! We will still be offering volumetric concrete as we have plenty of customers who love them and we can use a volumetric truck for the makeup load and hence you would have no over or under ordering for example on a larger pour. This new chapter for Monty mix will make us even more competitive going forward. Our quality concrete uses British cement from Heidelberg and only local virgin aggregates. We cover Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Newtown, Oswestry, Llanfyllin, Bishops Castle and surrounding areas. Keep an eye out for some content of some good pours we have in the pipeline over the coming weeks! What do you think of our stone effect concrete Lego blocks? made using a form liner to make the concrete look like a stone wall, very fast to install and a lot cheaper than the real thing. If you have a project coming up that needs a retaining wall keep these in mind. We also do plain concrete Lego blocks as well. We have made hundreds of the stone effect blocks for our sister company on a new build housing estate and you are welcome to view the finished product. The ends can have a stone effect as well and can be finished off with a nice wall coping on top.

Getting concrete to hard places seems to be our speciality recently, between us and the customer we make it happen. A few great photos here as well of a volumetric in action. In the past few weeks we have done deliveries for silage pit floor repairs, to a railway, a new lodge on top of a hill, concrete for kerbing a new footpath, footings for extensions, retaining walls, caravan bases, house slabs, concrete for a new agri building.
