💚 What a fantastic achievement for a fantastic cause! 💚

Between Morland’s charity walk and our annual staff bake sale, we’ve raised an incredible £760 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

Our charity walkers took on an impressive 25-mile challenge, completing the walk in just 8 hours and 45 minutes! They crossed the finish line with plenty of blisters, tired legs and a huge sense of achievement! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️👏

Alongside this, our annual staff bake sale brought everyone together for some delicious treats, all in aid of a brilliant cause. 🧁

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, baked, donated and supported us along the way. It’s been a fantastic team effort, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together!

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver.

KEY TASKS
· Manage flow of raw materials and finished goods
· Feed production with materials and stock using a FLT, ensuring supplies are delivered safely and efficiently
· Report stock shortages or quality issues to the relevant people
· Maintain accurate records of stock and stock locations
· Loading and un-loading deliveries
· Transportation of goods
· Liaise with Team Leaders at all times to determine production priorities
· Label and store all products correctly
· Ensure that all working areas are kept clean and they are presentable to the next shift
· Follow all heath and safety and standard operating procedures at all times
· Carry out any additional tasks as and when requested to do so
· Report any fork lift defects

SKILL SET
· Forklift license including counter balance
· FLT competent & confident, with the ability to operate safely and effectively in a busy warehouse environment
· Computer literate
· Ability to work equally on own initiative or as part of a team
· A methodical approach to work
· Excellent attention to detail
· Flexibility
· Ability to work accurately under pressure
· Excellent communication

The above tasks and skills are not exhaustive and may be added to and varied from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

This is a full time position based at Buttington Cross Enterprise Park, Welshpool.

🚶 The countdown is on!

A week today, the Morland team will be taking on a 25-mile walk from Welshpool to Shrewsbury to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. 🥾

And today is Stand Up To Cancer Day, making it the perfect time to share our fundraising challenge and shine a light on the importance of supporting people affected by cancer.

The walking boots are ready, the training is (hopefully!) done, and now we just need to make it through the 25 miles! 💪

“I wanted to join Morland because I saw a great opportunity to start building a career where I can develop my skills and take on new challenges. I’m someone who enjoys learning, adapting and getting stuck into things, so I’m looking forward to developing my knowledge as a Trainee Specification Technician and seeing where I can take the role.”

He’s a naturally hands-on person who enjoys being able to adapt to different situations and get stuck into new challenges.

Outside of work, Louis enjoys keeping active with golf and rugby — so we’re sure he’ll fit right in!

It's that time of year again... the walking boots are coming back out! 🥾

Our team has officially started training for Morland's annual charity walk, and this year's challenge is a little closer to home.

On Friday 18th September, the team will set off from our headquarters in Welshpool, following the Severn Way all the way to Shrewsbury – a journey of approximately 25 miles.

While this route may not have the mountain climbs of previous years, it will be every bit as challenging. Covering 25 miles on foot is a huge mental and physical test, but the team is determined to complete it for a fantastic cause.

This year, we're once again proud to be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them continue to provide vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
