Good lighting is about more than choosing a nice light fitting 💡

A well-lit home usually combines three types of lighting:

• Ambient lighting for overall illumination
• Task lighting for areas like kitchen worktops, desks and bathroom mirrors
• Accent lighting to highlight artwork, architectural details or cosy corners

Think about where the light falls, not just where the fitting goes. Under-cabinet lights can make a kitchen much more functional, while wall lights and dimmable lamps can instantly change the atmosphere of a living space.

And wherever possible, plan your lighting alongside the room layout, furniture and natural light.
