A nice chunky oak chair needing a new back. Probably first half of 20th Century, some nice turning and barley twist details throughout. There's also some geometric carvings along the front of the seat which are a totally different style, but I quite like them!

My arthritis is not playing ball at the moment so everything is taking at least twice as long, and the breaks I need to take double that as well.

All this to say, the weaving on this little chair is finished, and I've just got the beading to go.

This sunrise back is nice on my hands, but ergonomically bad for all my other joints 😂

Straight in with the next one. It's a Cesca or Cesca-style, so far so usual. However, it's got lovely warm wooden panels...

Straight in with the next one. It's a Cesca or Cesca-style, so far so usual. However, it's got lovely warm wooden panels and a gold coloured frame! I think it looks great. And it'll look even better with a new back 👍
