Completed garden office in Streatham, London SW16.
A compact but highly functional 4.0m x 3.0m garden office, giving our clients 12m² of dedicated year-round workspace at the rear of their garden.
This build was designed as an open-plan home office, with a clean flush front elevation, vertical charcoal / charred-effect British larch cladding, anthracite grey aluminium 3-panel bi-fold doors, and a side lozenge-style top-hung window for ventilation.
Internally, the space was finished with plastered and decorated walls, laminate flooring, recessed LED lighting, brushed stainless steel sockets, a 2kW app-controlled panel heater, and a hardwired Cat6 data connection from the house router to the garden room — making it a proper work-from-home space, not just a room at the end of the garden.
The result is a calm, separate office environment that gives the clients somewhere to focus during the working day, while still being only a few steps from home.
A great example of how even a modest-sized garden room can completely change the way a home works.
