We’re pleased to announce the commencement of critical structural repair works at Langtree School, with works starting this June.

The project, being delivered within a live school environment over an 8-week programme, involves reinforcing the underside of the existing floor slab within the Drama, Staff Room and Staff Toilets areas.

The scope of works includes:
• Removal and reinstatement of high-level ground floor services
• Removal and reinstatement of first floor floor coverings
• Installation of structural ply to the first floor
• Installation of steel mesh reinforcement to the underside of the first floor slab
• Installation of new suspended ceilings
• Full reinstatement of all associated services

Given the critical nature of these works, careful planning and coordination will be essential to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the daily operation of the school.

Meet James 👋

As Operations Director at KRP Developments, James Wing plays a key role in keeping our projects running smoothly from pre-construction right through to delivery. In a fast-paced industry where no two days are the same, James wears many hats—always ready to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in wherever needed.

One project he’s particularly proud of is last summer’s fire upgrade works across three schools. With tight government funding deadlines, it was all hands on deck—but thanks to strong teamwork and determination, the projects were surveyed, priced, and delivered in record time. That success has since opened the door to even more opportunities with the same client 👏

And a fun fact about James? He originally wanted to be a firefighter—and while that didn’t quite happen, he still spends plenty of time “putting out fires” on-site! These days though, his dream job would involve swapping construction sites for a beach in the Caribbean 🌴

KRP Developments delivered the renovation and conversion of a three-storey building in Windsor into a mixed-use scheme, featuring a ground floor commercial unit and apartments above.

Each apartment offers a modern open-plan layout, while a newly constructed rear staircase provides access and incorporates bin storage at ground level.

A great example of unlocking the potential of existing town centre buildings.
