Thank you to .lilah for sending in this great photo of her sketch made at Dunster beach, looking towards Watchet. She popped into our shop yesterday to stock up on more paper. “Thanks for the beautiful paper! I am currently using some right now!“

"Bless 'em all, bless 'em all, The long & the short & the tall"

We use three different grades of cotton linters in our papers, as well as cotton & linen rag.

Neil picked up a couple of bales this week. Should keep us going for a while.

Would be good to have a pound for every time I've done this. Changing a reel on a Pope Drum. Such a neat piece of engineering.

Thanks due to John Pitts for modifications to our cotton linter pulping set-up at East Quay. The mixing tub raised and the discharge piping increased in diameter. A disused wheelie bin repurposed as a dump chest and a new metal bracket fabricated to support the Lightning Mixer. So much quicker and easier to operate than the configuration we installed at Christmas. All of this achieved in a just few hours on Saturday afternoon.
