Another full flat roof transformation successfully completed in Sunderland 🏘️🔨

This was much more than just a new felt roof. The whole area was stripped back and rebuilt properly from the structure upwards to make sure everything was solid, secure and built to last.

As part of the works, we:

✅ Removed all failed Asbestos, rotten decking and damaged timberwork
✅ Supplied and fitted new structural roof joist timbers where required
✅ Installed new 18mm roof decking to create a strong, solid base
✅ Rebuilt the wall at the rear of the roof area
✅ Supplied and fitted the new window
✅ Supplied and fitted the new door
✅ Installed a complete high-quality 3-layer torch-on bituminous felt roofing system
✅ Removed all waste from site and left the area clean and tidy

🔥 3-Layer Felt System Installed:

✅ 1st Layer – 3G Perforated Membrane
✅ 2nd Layer – Sanded Underlay
✅ 3rd Layer – Green Mineral Cap Sheet

The finished result is a completely rebuilt, fully watertight and durable flat roof system, with the surrounding structure also renewed to give the customer a proper long-term solution. 💪🏠

Today we had the pleasure of carrying out some FREE slate roof repairs for Gateway Wheelers in Houghton-le-Spring.

Gateway Wheelers are a local charity doing brilliant work in the community, so when we found out they needed a couple of roof repairs, we were more than happy to help out and get the work completed completely free of charge.

We discovered damage to the roof of our HQ at the Tithe Barn on Monday and, of course, it’s been raining ever since! 🌧️

Just a few days later, Ryan is here today getting it repaired for us.

Ryan has very kindly donated his time and the slate tiles needed to carry out the repairs, which is an amazing gesture of support for Gateway Wheelers.
