Training for Electricians × Cheshire Police & Crime Commissioner

We had the pleasure of welcoming Price Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner to Training for Electricians to meet the learners benefiting from our new partnership.

Through funding from the PCC, we’re providing young people with the opportunity to gain practical skills, achieve qualifications and work towards a career in the electrical industry.

We believe every young person deserves a chance to succeed. Traditional education isn’t the right pathway for everyone and partnerships like this help break down barriers and open doors that may otherwise remain closed.

A huge thank you to Dan and his team for supporting this initiative and a huge thank you to the councils and everyone involved to help make this happen for these learners, We’re incredibly proud of this partnership and look forward to seeing our learners progress over the coming months! ⚡️

⚡ Bringing Electrical Training to Life! 🏗️

What an incredible day for our learners visiting Vistry’s Peel Hall Park development and Skills Academy!

A huge thank you to the team at Vistry Partnerships Site for inviting us along and giving our learners such a fantastic opportunity to experience a live construction environment.

A special thank you to the Site Manager for taking time out of his busy day to walk our learners through the different stages of electrical installation and show them how everything comes together in the real world.

And a massive thank you to Dean Sankey from DSW Electrical for spending the day with our learners, sharing his industry knowledge, offering advice and giving them valuable tips for their future careers. 👏

Partnerships like these are invaluable in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry experience, helping our learners understand what a career in the electrical industry really looks like.

An amazing day all round! We’re already looking forward to bringing our next group along and continuing to build these fantastic industry partnerships.

🥽⚡ Bringing Virtual Reality into the workshop.

It’s great to see our learners getting their first look at something we’ve been developing behind the scenes here at Training for Electricians, our own immersive VR learning experience.

Using real electrical environments and scenarios filmed and developed by us, learners can experience tasks from a first-person perspective, understand the sequence of work, identify equipment and potential hazards and build confidence before completing the practical task themselves.

For us, it’s about making theory more engaging while continuing to bring real-world experience into the classroom.

This is just the beginning for VR at Training for Electricians and we’re excited to keep developing what it can offer our learners. ⚡
