Established in January 2001, we have a well respected name and reputation as specialist Tree Surgeons within the local area for both domestic and commercial customers, with most of our work coming from recommendation & repeat customers.

A few years ago, this oak tree suffered the loss of a large limb. Following the installation of a new fence, the customer noticed that the health of the tree had continued to deteriorate. With concerns that the tree could potentially cause damage to the new fence and the boats below, they decided to bring us in to safely remove it.

To provide better access for the work, the team carefully removed a section of the fence and the old wooden fence. Once the branches had been dismantled, the stem was safely felled through the access gap, with no damage caused to the newly installed fencing.

After all the timber had been removed, the team thoroughly cleaned the site and reinstated the fence—leaving the area looking as though we had never been there

Last week, the team carried out a crown reduction on this hornbeam tree, which is covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO).

On arrival, the road had already been closed due to separate roadworks, which worked in the team’s favour. This allowed us to safely position the MEWP on the road, providing excellent access to the canopy and enabling the reduction to be completed efficiently.

Our ground crew also showed great initiative by using the materials they had available to protect the nearby lights and stone caps throughout the operation.

The work was completed safely, with no damage to the surrounding area, and the tree was left with a well-balanced shape that both the client and the team were delighted with.

With all the recent nice weather, you wouldn’t expect a call-out—but that’s exactly what happened yesterday.

We received a call from our client, the Woodland Trust, after a large branch had snapped and was blocking a stream. Our team quickly mobilised to make the area safe, carefully removing the damaged limb before using our skid steer to extract the timber from the watercourse.

Another job completed safely and efficiently, with the site left clear and accessible once again

Something a little different for the team this week. A couple of the lads were tasked with staking this young apple tree to give it the best possible start.

Two stakes and a crossbar were installed, along with a tree block and rubber support band, to provide stability while allowing the tree to establish a strong, healthy root system. This support will help the tree grow straight and thrive for many years to come.

This week, the team reduced and trimmed back a large conifer hedge in the customer’s garden. Extra care and attention were taken throughout the work to avoid any damage to the building beneath the hedge.

As the hedge was over 10 feet wide, the climbers worked methodically along one side before returning up the opposite side to ensure an even and level finish. The work was completed safely and to a high standard, leaving the customer very pleased with the final result.

A huge transformation to the garden, significantly increasing the amount of natural light reaching the property. Last week, the team removed a several conifers and ground out the remaining stumps, allowing the customers to begin replanting and continue with their garden renovation plans.

Last week, the team carried out a reduction of this copper beech tree, which was extending from a neighbouring garden towards the customer’s property. Two climbers completed the work efficiently and safely, ensuring the tree was reduced to suitable points while maintaining its overall appearance. The customer was very pleased with the work carried out.

Over the past two days, our teams have been working on site carrying out a range of tree management works. This included pruning a copper beech tree, thinning several oak and lime trees, and crown lifting four sycamore trees. All trees involved were protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), and following a successful application to the council, all work was completed in accordance with the approved specifications.

Unfortunately, we were unable to capture final photographs of the lime tree and the completed crown lifts. However, the customer was extremely pleased with the standard of work carried out, and the site was left clean and tidy at the end of both working days.

This week, the lads started the week working in hot weather on a lime tree that required thinning and crown lifting over a main road. Traffic management was put in place to ensure all work was carried out safely and efficiently.

By the end of the week, with the weather cooling down slightly, the team carried out a reduction on a silver birch tree to match the height of the neighbouring maple tree
