Precision tiling. Bespoke detailing. Exceptional finishes. 🔥
A look at the flooring installation on one of our current projects, where careful planning, precision cutting and attention to detail are bringing together two distinctive tiling styles.
The design incorporates 1,000mm x 1,000mm large-format porcelain tiles alongside bespoke herringbone sections, creating a seamless transition between contemporary large-format flooring and traditional patterned detailing.
For the herringbone areas, we individually cut the original 1,200mm planks down to 900mm. This was a deliberate design decision to achieve a more defined, visually balanced herringbone pattern, allowing the distinctive zigzag arrangement to stand out rather than becoming lost within the space.
To bring the entire installation together, we’ve incorporated a wood-effect plank border, carefully set out to frame each section of flooring.
Separating the border from the main tiled areas is a Genesis brushed brass inlay trim, introducing a subtle metallic detail that highlights the different laying patterns and gives the floor a refined, architectural finish.
It’s these finer details that make the difference. From the initial setting out and individual tile cuts to the precise alignment of the borders and brass inlays, every element has been carefully considered.
