MEET ANDY | COLLSTONE WASTE MANAGEMENT ♻️

As Collstone continues to grow, so does our responsibility to look at how we build, what we waste and what happens to materials when they leave our sites.

That’s why we’ve been developing Collstone Waste Management, led by my brother Andy.

For us, this isn't simply about having our own waste operation. It's another step towards becoming a more sustainable and environmentally responsible construction company.

Andy and his team help us take greater control of waste across our projects — focusing on responsible segregation, recycling and reuse wherever possible, while reducing the amount of material unnecessarily going to landfill.

It also means we're building greater accountability into the entire construction process: from the materials arriving on site to what happens to them when they're no longer needed.

Having Andy leading this part of the business makes it particularly special. As Collstone grows, we're incredibly proud to have family involved in helping shape where the company goes next.

The people behind Collstone. Meet Beth, our Operations Manager.

Beth probably won’t thank us for putting the spotlight on her — she’s far happier getting things done behind the scenes than talking about herself.

But sometimes recognition is important.

Our recent SMaS certification was a significant achievement for Collstone, and Beth played a huge part in getting us there, leading the process from start to finish and making sure the systems, documentation and standards behind the business stood up to scrutiny.

But SMaS is really just one example of what Beth brings to Collstone.

As our Operations Manager, she sits at the heart of the business. She helps coordinate our teams and projects, keeps the operational side moving, supports our compliance and processes, and somehow manages to keep track of the countless things happening across Collstone at any one time.

As we've grown, having strong people behind the scenes has become every bit as important as having great people on our sites.

Beth brings organisation, consistency and accountability to that growth — and, perhaps most importantly, she's someone the whole team knows they can rely on.

A lot of what she does will never appear in a finished-project photograph or on social media. But without that work happening in the background, Collstone simply wouldn't operate at the level it does today.

So while she'd probably prefer us to quietly move on and talk about the next project, we wanted to take a moment to say:

INTRODUCING OUR TEAM | SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

We’re delighted to introduce the newest addition to the Collstone team, Andrew joins us as our Senior Construction Project Manager for the South West.

Bringing more than 30 years of construction experience, his career has taken him from starting out on site as a labourer, through running his own business, to managing and delivering complex, high-value construction projects.

Alongside that practical experience, he brings an exceptional academic background, including Master’s degrees in Senior Construction Management and Global Project Management, together with a degree in Countryside Environment Management.

This combination of construction and environmental expertise fits perfectly with the direction we’re taking at Collstone.

We believe the future of construction is about delivering exceptional buildings while making intelligent choices about materials, sustainability, energy and the environment. His experience in sustainable construction and alternative building methods will further strengthen our ability to deliver exactly that.

His expertise includes:
