Fortel was proud to attend the Skanska A428 event in support of Lighthouse Charity.

It was great to hear Adam and Zac share their personal stories and experiences of overcoming struggles. The discussions covered a range of important topics, including prostate cancer, bowel cancer, alcohol and drug abuse, and many other challenges that can affect people’s lives.
The event encouraged great interaction with the workforce, creating an opportunity for open conversations, raising awareness and reminding everyone of the importance of looking after their physical and mental wellbeing.

As part of the event, Fortel was pleased to provide some refreshments and nibbles, giving us the opportunity to connect, have a chat and engage with some of the operatives.

A big thank you to Adam, Zac, Skanska and Lighthouse Charity for sharing their stories and helping to make these important conversations visible.

Fortel Group has successfully completed a major upgrade at Veolia’s recycling centre in Birmingham.

The works included the construction of a new lagoon, significant drainage upgrades, a new V-ditch, kerbing and heavy plant access ramps.

Delivered safely and ahead of schedule, these improvements will support a more efficient and effective recycling operation across the south of Birmingham.

A fantastic achievement by everyone involved and another excellent example of collaborative working, careful planning and high-quality delivery.
