You can really make a good font work for you! We use the font Baskerville all the time as it’s so versatile. By adjusting the space between the letters, the size of the font, the case you use (upper or lower) you can create a completely different aesthetic.

Honestly, I really do love an ampersand. They’re all so different and expressive. And I am still obsessed with the fact that they are a combination of the letters e and t (which is ‘and’ in Latin)
I adore the Garamond one as you can see both the letters really clearly
The Pinyon one is unbelievably different but you can still both the letters so I like that one for styling it out
Fraunces is chunky, bold, happy and confident
Playfair Display is just adorable - swirly, demonstrative and oh so clever looking

*** this is my first proper go at Canva so please ignore how clunky it is. I’m beside myself with excitement by it ***

Who knew? Honestly who knew that the ampersand came from the French word for and ‘et’ ? And is an amalgamation of the letters e and t?
How clever is that! I still can’t believe I’ve only just found this out
Comment if you knew (or if you didn’t know as this will make me feel better!)

I’ve just come back from a weekend away with old school friends and looking through our old photo albums was such a laugh!!

The Pipe! We’re using it all the time to separate letters, words, thoughts - it is slowly replacing the hyphen! I love it when new punctuation enters everyday language
Have a good day!

September is the month of stationery in my head - it’s new pencils, notebooks, stickers, bag (I think we can stretch to that) - and it’s all about sorting stuff out. Making lists, organising and tidying up.

And if you got married in the summer then it’s a perfect month to make your wedding album!

Some fonts just don’t work! I love this one so much and think it’s so expressive but nobody chooses it!!
Any ideas why, let me know!

*** as always the examples we use our mock ups and not real orders ***
