Every year we add new colours to our photo album and guest book ranges and w**d out the ones that haven’t sold as well as we thought, and it is SUCH a tricky process. It sounds like fun but honestly after a couple of hours it becomes really testing!

One of the hardest parts (once you’ve actually decided on the new colours to go for) is naming them as names are so evocative.
So, we need your help…
What colour should we name the green, the purple and the pink?
All suggestions are good suggestions, there are no wrong answers - safe space!
Just FYI, in the leather album ranges we already have two other greens, one lighter called sage and one darker called forest and then we also have two pinks one pale one called blush and one brighter and darker called mulberry

These little brass letters are what make our world go round. We use them all day, every day.

This particular set of letters are set at 24pt which is a really good size - readable from a distance but small enough that we can print 25 characters comfortably per line of printing.

They are made of solid brass and so when put in the chase and into the machine (which is hotter than any iron) they become so hot they will transfer the metal from the foil onto the books.

This set of letters is made up in Gill Sans font and is simple, sans serif and humanist in style (which means it mimics the natural flow of handwriting)

These little letters get so hot that one of the downfalls of being a typesetter is that you lose your fingerprints 😬

I’ve never been a big fan of yellow - always seen it as a bit of a C-list colour ( very judgey and unfair, I know) - but it’s starting to creep into my life. I’m not yet ready to let it into my wardrobe but I’m choosing it in interiors and loving the warmth, vibrancy and fun that it adds. Especially when teamed with pink. And here in these photos it does look amazing!

So, my BeGolden dilemma is - do we make a new yellow leather colour? We have to commit to a stack of leather when we introduce a new colour and if we choose a dud then it takes forever to shift so… do we back yellow this year or not? 💛🌝⭐️
