Carried out this week, the installation of a Panasonic R290 7kW air source heat pump, 250ltr unvented hot water cylinder & buffer.

We attended a client’s property today to carry out an annual service on their air source heat pump. The ASHP was showing an error code & not functioning properly.

During the service we identified that the water running through the system was black & realised that this may be causing issues with efficient water flow & possible component corrosion. The build up of black iron-oxide sludge in the water occurs over time & settles in the radiators & pipes as well as damaging vital components.

We recommended a flush to the full heating system. Using our power flush, the magnetic charge filtered out the sludge. Once collected & removed the water then ran clearly through the heating system. Clean water running through the system will allow the appliance to work as efficiently & cost effectively as possible. The flush resolved the issue & the ASHP is now working well.

It is advisable to have an air source heat pump or a boiler serviced annually. This will identify any issues before they become a problem. A chemical flush will be recommended when required.
