Update from works started yesterday - we carried out extensive external maintenance works, including multiple slate repairs across the roof and the clearing of blocked downpipes to ensure rainwater can drain away effectively.

Welsh Slate Re-Roof Completed

Another beautiful traditional roof brought back to life by our team.

Many roofers would have removed the existing Welsh slate and replaced it with a newer, lower-quality alternative. However, wherever possible, we believe in preserving the character, heritage, and quality of traditional roofs. We see so many perfectly good slate roofs replaced with material that won’t last half the time these slates have and will.

For this project, the roof was completely stripped, inspected, and carefully re-laid using new lathe and felt aswell as the original Welsh slates, with all broken and damaged slates replaced as required. We installed x2 new Velux windows aswell to allow extra light into the roof space.

The result is a roof that not only looks fantastic but maintains the traditional appearance and longevity that Welsh slate is renowned for.
