Enquiries & Messages - I try my best to reply to all messages in a timely manner and aim to reply to all messages within 24 - 48 hours maximum, please can I kindly ask you be patient, I’m not ignoring you or being rude, I’m back to back on jobs, working long days & weeks and I have a family with a young son. Admin is done for me on an evening time. I occasionally get the odd abusive, rude message, respectfully your messages will just be ignored. On occasions some messages go straight into our spam folder and unfortunately messages can be missed, if you have sent a message and I do not reply after 48 hours, please send another message and 9 times out of 10 it jumps into our inbox.
Pricing - The price I give is the price and that’s non negotiable. My pricing over the last 4 years has been exceptionally fair and reasonable. My past customers and clients will vouch that I am a trusted, high quality tradesman who has worked extremely hard to build up a reputable name for myself. If you’re looking for cheap, quick, shoddy work you won’t find that here. Believe me when I say, the cheapest isn’t always the best. Every week I’m contacted by people who have chosen the cheapest and are left with dangerous and shocking work which is a shame for us genuine ones. Do your research, look at the reviews and photos.
Materials - If you choose to source your own materials for jobs and they arrive damaged or of poor quality, this is down to yourselves to sort and rectify, this will not be done in my time. I highly recommend using trusted suppliers & companies for materials. All materials supplied by me are from high end, reputable companies. If for any instance if something arrives that I have ordered and it is damaged or not to my standard, I will sort this, rectify this and replace it.
Quotes - All quotes here at JJPR are carried out face to face, there’s alot of behind the scenes work that goes into quotes, so unfortunately I cannot give a quote off a picture you send or send ‘rough’ price. I have to consider materials, suppliers, other tradesmen, labour, size, fuel there’s a lot that goes into them, so I can’t just send a quote over by looking at a photo. ▪️My quoting days are Monday- Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm, I have a young child at home so I will no longer be quoting on weekends or after 5pm, however I will try and accommodate after 5pm if required. I will send a confirmation message either the day before or on the morning of the quote, due to people wasting my time if you do not reply to my confirmation messages then I will cancel the quote. If you no longer require the quote please just me know, I won’t be offended. ▪️If I have been out to quote, please note quotes take a few days or longer during busy times, I haven’t forgot about your quote sometimes a lot goes into them. Due to forever rising cost of materials, quotes only last for 3 months from the date it has been sent, after that I will need to requote.
Payments - All payments on job completion now need to be sent either on the day of completion or when I am about to leave the property, this is non negotiable. This is due to a small minority of customers I’ve had to chase days after job completion. Legal action will be taken for non payments!
Deposits - I require a 20%-50% deposit for jobs, this needs to be paid a MINIMUM of 48 hours before your job is due to start. This is to ensure all materials are purchased and ready to start your work, a delay in this can put a hold on the job starting.
Cancellations - I understand that unforeseen circumstances can bob up at any time and it’s always when we least expect them, if you need to cancel please can I kindly ask that this is done with plenty of notice. I will always try my absolute best to rearrange people and help you out where ever I can. Short notice cancellations are a killer for small, self employed businesses and sometimes we are left without work if we can’t fill those spaces.
Here at Jax Joinery I strive for excellent, high quality work which is reflected from my feedback from customers and reviews. After a job completion, there is a 7 day grace period, in that time if there is any issues or something that you aren't happy with or something is niggling you, you have 7 days to get in touch and I will happily come back free of charge and rectify any issues. Please note, after that time there will be a fee. General wear and tear, breakages and poor care and handling of work aren’t covered and again this will be a call out fee.
Call out fees start at £20, depending on the severity of damage.
Waste/rubbish removal - We do not remove any waste or rubbish from jobs unless arranged or discussed. If you require rubbish or waste removal, please let me know when booking or during the job. This can be provided and will be added on for a small fee or skips can be arranged. If discussed, rubbish will be taken away at the end of the job on completion or at the earliest convenience. Please note, all rubbish and waste is deposed of safely and correctly, all rubbish is disposed of at the local tip/recycling centre. Under no circumstances is any waste dumped or fly tipped.
Pets - I am a huge dog lover and have a 6ft miniature horse size Labrador so I understand that dogs love to come say hello and have a fuss, please don’t worry or apologise if your dogs or animals are around us during jobs, we love interacting and meeting your pets.
