A complete transformation of a rotten and unsafe balcony into a strong, secure and professionally rebuilt structure.

Works carried out included:
• Installation of Douglas fir beams and structural timber
• New joists and noggins fitted throughout
• New section of handrail constructed and installed
• Stainless steel fixings and galvanised post shoes used throughout
• Reinforced post foundations for long-term stability
• New metal joist hangers installed
• Structural sections fully bolted together for added strength
• New row of paving slabs laid beneath balcony area
• New mortise and tenon 5m posts reinstated as part of the final finish
