Great performance from the Vögele TP2 high compaction screed on site yesterday.
We achieved a superb pre-compacted surface at 5m width, laying an impressive 300mm depth.
This level of quality comes down to expert setup — credit to our highly experienced engineer for ensuring the screed ran correctly and avoided riding on its rear edges (as we all know, that’s where those infamous tramlines start).
Even more impressive was the compaction:
280mm pre-compacted thickness with just a further 10mm reduction during rolling, delivering a very high density finish — a fantastic result. And, of course, less rolling means improved tolerances.
Traditionally, this level of performance has been associated with the renowned ABG double tamping screeds… but it’s clear Vögele have this well and truly dialled in.
And as always — the right machine is only part of the story… having the right expertise behind it makes all the difference 😉
