Looking to start a career outdoors? Or already have experience in grounds maintenance? We want to hear from you! There are currently 1-2 positions available for an operative/ apprentice.

What we’re looking for:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Passion for working outdoors and learning new skills
- Driving licence (operative position)

What you’ll get:
- Hands-on experience in grounds maintenance
- Opportunities to develop and learn new skills
- Supportive team environment

Treecycle collections have started! 🌲🤩

It’s Treecycle day! - Our fantastic team and business partners are out across Barnsley collecting real Christmas trees and giving them a greener, more meaningful end. ♻️

Each tree collected today helps us continue providing compassionate hospice care to those who need it most. 🧡

A huge thank you to this year’s supporters - Clearance & Clean Up Ltd, Countrywide Healthcare, Rapid Response Telecoms Ltd. , Forklift Truck Depot Limited , Twiggs Grounds Maintenance Ltd , Tree Canopy Climb, Ian's Logs and Ted Chipper - for volunteering their time and resources to make it happen.

Another close-up look at the new decking area we installed as part of the Thorpe Hesley project! The space now features a new entrance, footpath, and planters for the children to use and enjoy. 🌱

The pupils will be taking responsibility for the planters, growing their own plants and learning valuable skills about nurturing and sustainability — we can’t wait to see what they produce! 🌻👩‍🌾

The new decking doesn’t just look great — it also improves accessibility thanks to the built-in ramp, making the area inclusive for everyone to enjoy. ♿💚

One of the key focus points on our latest project was the pond rejuvenation — turning an old, overgrown pond into a beautiful new feature ready to thrive as a wildlife habitat and educational space. 💦

The newly restored pond is now larger, clearer, and more visually appealing, with a dedicated dipping platform where pupils can safely explore, learn, and discover the fascinating world of self-sustaining habitats. 🌍

We can’t wait to see the children using this space for hands-on learning and outdoor exploration! 🍃
