🔨 **Commercial Flat Roof Replacement – Aldershot MOT Station!** 🏢

**When a roof hasn't been installed properly, sometimes the only solution is to strip it back and do the job right!**

Our team at **TCGSouth Roofing** recently completed this commercial flat roofing project at an MOT station in **Aldershot, Hampshire**.

The existing flat roof was failing following a previous poor installation, with incorrectly fitted leadwork adding to the problems.

Rather than patching over the defects, we stripped the roof right back to the boards and started again.

Here's what we did:

✅ Removed the failing flat roof covering
✅ Stripped the roof back to the existing boards
✅ Removed the incorrectly installed leadwork
✅ Installed a new three-layer felt roofing system
✅ Replaced the leadwork with correctly fitted detailing
✅ Finished the roof with a durable, weather-resistant surface

Another roof given a new lease of life in Guildford, Surrey.
This one didn't need a complete new roof, but several important areas needed attention to keep the property properly protected.
🔨 New dry ridge system installed
🏠 Both roof verges fully replaced
⚒️ New leadwork around the chimney
💧 Chimney and roof junctions weatherproofed
🔨 New membrane and battens to repaired areas
🏠 Existing tiles carefully reinstated where required
A good example of why maintaining an existing roof can make such a difference.

A proper transformation on this one!
The old plastic/polycarbonate roof on this extension in Gosport was stripped away and replaced with a completely new pitched tiled roof.
🔨 New pitched roof timbers
🏠 New breathable roofing membrane
🔨 New timber battens
💧 New eaves support trays
🏠 New roof tiles
✨ New fascias
💧 New guttering
🔨 All junctions properly finished and weatherproofed
The before-and-after photos really show the difference.
Instead of simply trying to repair or cover the ageing plastic roof, we created a completely new roofing system from the timbers upwards, giving the extension a much smarter and more permanent finish.

Another job completed by the TCG South Roofing team in Gosport, Hampshire.
The existing metal roof had reached the end of its useful life, while the box gutter had deteriorated and the material underneath was rotten.
Rather than patching over the problem, we stripped everything back and rebuilt it properly.
✅ Old metal roofing removed
✅ New profiled metal roofing sheets installed
✅ Rotten box gutter stripped out
✅ New boarding installed
✅ New 3-layer felt system to the box gutter
✅ New weatherproof detailing
✅ Roof and drainage system fully reinstated
The result is a much cleaner, stronger and properly weatherproof roofing system. 👌

Another big transformation from the TCG South Roofing team — and this one was for a returning customer.
We'd previously installed a flat roof for this customer in Horsham, and they asked us back to carry out a complete re-roof of their main property.
The old roof covering was stripped back before the new roofing system was installed, including:
🔨 New breathable membrane
🔨 New treated battens
🔨 Complete new roof covering
🔨 New hip and ridge detailing
🔨 Chimney and leadwork detailing
🔨 Full weatherproof finish

Another roof sorted by the TCG South Roofing team.
This property in Churt, near Farnham, was experiencing problems with water getting in around the existing ridge line.
Rather than simply patching the old mortar, we upgraded the roof with a modern dry ridge system.
✅ Existing ridge tiles removed
✅ Ridge line inspected and prepared
✅ New dry ridge system installed
✅ Ridge tiles mechanically secured
✅ No reliance on traditional mortar
✅ Roof de-mossed
✅ Roof checked for damaged tiles
✅ Leaking ridge line resolved
The dry ridge system gives the roof a much more secure, weather-resistant and low-maintenance ridge while allowing the original style of the roof to be retained.
We also de-mossed the roof, removing the build-up of moss and debris and giving the roof a good overall inspection while we were there.

🔨 OUTDOOR BBQ AREA – COMPLETE ROOF REBUILD
A slightly different roofing job for the TCG South Roofing team — replacing the tiled roof over an outdoor BBQ and entertaining area.
The existing roof had deteriorated and, once we removed the tiles and stripped everything back, the condition of the original timber structure could clearly be seen.
This wasn't a job where simply putting new tiles on top would have been the right answer.
The deteriorated timber needed to be dealt with first, giving the new roof a sound structure underneath.
✅ Existing tiles removed
✅ Roof completely stripped back
✅ Old timber structure inspected
✅ Rotten/deteriorated timbers replaced
✅ Roof structure rebuilt
✅ New underlay and battens
✅ Roof retiled
✅ Ridge completed
✅ New leadwork at the adjoining wall
✅ Fully weatherproof finish
