🌍 Exciting news from Germains Seed Technology! 🌍 As we continue to grow, we're strengthening our commercial organization to make it even easier for customers to work with us. Starting in August 2026, we're bringing our Field Crops and Horticulture teams together across EMEA and APAC under one commercial structure.
This will help us collaborate more effectively, respond more quickly, and deliver even greater value to our customers around the world.
We're also pleased to share that:
🌱 Jean-Paul Geelhoed will lead our commercial organization across EMEA and APAC.
🌱 Jeff Fletcher will continue leading North America while supporting our continued growth across Latin America.

✔️ Advanced film coating technology that securely binds plant protection products to the seed.
✔️ Stringent dust-off testing on every production batch to verify coatings remain on the seed, helping reduce dust generation during handling and planting.

🎉 This year, Germains proudly celebrates 155 years of innovation while joining industry partners at the 80th IIRB Congress—two milestones that reflect a shared commitment to advancing the future of sugar beet production. Our journey in the UK began in 1965 with the opening of our King's Lynn seed treatment facility, and for decades, we've been proud participants in the IIRB Congress, collaborating with researchers, breeders, and growers to drive innovation across the sugar beet industry.

Since becoming part of Associated British Foods plc (ABF) in 1990, and now part of the AB Agri family, we've continued to build on our legacy of delivering innovative seed technologies that help growers produce healthier, more resilient crops.

As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, we are proud to reflect on Germains' place in the nation's agricultural history. Established in 1871 in Los Angeles, California, Germains has partnered with generations of growers and seed producers for 155 years to strengthen crop establishment, improve seed performance, and contribute to a secure and sustainable food supply. What began in California has grown into a global business, supporting seed companies and growers across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.

🌧️🚜 Mud, rain, and cold winds couldn’t keep UK growers away from hosted at Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

Many thanks to everyone who stopped by the Germains stand to learn more about our seed dressing technologies for sugar beet, carrots, onions, and other vegetable crops grown across the UK.

Educating growers on the value seed technology bring from crop establishment to field performance is an important part of helping deliver stronger outcomes from the very start. 🌱

We appreciate the great conversations and look forward to continuing to collaborate with the growers, agronomists, and industry partners we serve.

🚴‍♂️ Congratulations to our Production Supervisor, Gerrit Ormel, on successfully completing his 636 km (395 mile) cycling challenge in celebration of 25 years with Germains Seed Technology.

Supported by colleagues and longtime friends, Gerrit raised an incredible €5,038 for the Nationaal MS Fonds far exceeding his original fundraising goal.

A fantastic achievement for a great cause. Well done, Gerrit! 👏
