⚡ Working in a live business always needs a little more planning.

For this project, keeping the shop operational while the electrical upgrades were carried out was a priority. By carefully planning each stage of the work, we were able to keep disruption to a minimum while improving the overall installation for both the commercial premises and the flat above.

A cleaner, more practical setup and another EICR remedial project coming together nicely. 👌

If your business has recently had an EICR and you’re unsure how to approach the remedial work, feel free to get in touch.

⚡ It’s often the little things that make the biggest difference to a project.

Using reusable Safety Shieldz allows us to keep the job moving while plastering and decorating are carried out, helping to reduce unnecessary delays and protect the installation at the same time.

It’s a simple system, but it helps achieve a neater finish, protects the back boxes during plastering, and means we’re not holding up other trades.

We’re always looking at ways to work more efficiently while delivering the best possible finish for our customers.

If you’re planning a renovation, a rewire, or you’ve recently had an EICR and need advice on the next steps, feel free to get in touch.

A full rewire is all about getting the groundwork right.

Good planning at first fix means neater cable routes, solid box positions and a much smoother second fix later on.

The Spit nail gun has been a proper time-saver on this one — although it still doesn’t get anyone out of cleaning the hoover at the end of the day.

⚡ Another stage of remedial work completed at a well-known local pub.

Larger EICR remedial projects can often be broken down into manageable stages, allowing each area to be addressed properly while keeping disruption to the business to a minimum.

It’s always a pleasure working with a great local customer, especially somewhere with brilliant food and a cracking beer garden. 🍻

If you’ve received an unsatisfactory EICR and need help understanding or planning the remedial work, feel free to get in touch.

👷 Catch our first-year apprentice, Alfie, getting some more hands-on experience as part of this recent EICR remedial job.

One of the best things about this trade is that no two days are ever the same. Every job is another opportunity to learn, build confidence and develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced electricians.

It’s also a good reminder that some of the most important electrical defects are the ones you can’t actually see, which is why inspections are so valuable.

⚡ If you’re thinking about upgrading your lighting, have any questions about your electrical installation, or you’re due an EICR, feel free to get in touch. We’re always happy to help.

⚡ Consumer units are one of those things most people never think about until they need work carried out or something stops working.

🏡 If yours still has rewirable fuses or it’s been in place for many years, it doesn’t necessarily mean it needs replacing, but it’s always worth understanding what you’ve got and whether it’s still suitable for your installation.

💬 If you’re unsure, or you’d just like some honest advice, feel free to get in touch. We’re always happy to help.

Just catching up with the lads as they put the finishing touches to this installation. ⚡

One of the final stages is completing the circuit schedule and fitting all the required labels, making sure every circuit is clearly identified for future maintenance and safe isolation.

It’s one of those small details that often goes unnoticed, but it’s an important part of completing the job properly.

Great to hear another happy customer at the end as well! 👏

If you’ve got any questions about your own electrical installation or you’re due an EICR, feel free to get in touch.

A quick look at one of this week’s EV charger jobs. ⚡

The customer had already mounted the Ohme charger and run the cable, so our role was to complete the electrical connections, carry out the testing and commission the installation before handover.

One of the trickiest parts was getting the cable back through an old stone wall and bringing it out exactly where it needed to be.

If you’re thinking about having an EV charger installed, or you’d just like some advice on the best option for your property, feel free to drop us a message.
