What has kept Cannadines going for so many years?

For Peter, the answer is simple: running the business with integrity and keeping the customer at the centre of every project.

In this reel, Peter explains how proud he is of his son Ross, who took over the day-to-day running of Cannadines in 2009. He believes Ross has continued to put the customer ahead of profit, with a strong focus on both the finished result and the experience customers receive throughout their project.

Peter has worked at Cannadines since the 1960s, bringing more than 50 years of bathroom industry experience to the family-run business. Today, the team designs, supplies and installs kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms for customers through its Uckfield showroom.

Modern or traditional? Which kitchen style would you choose?

We find customers are currently looking at both options, and each offers a very different finish.

In this reel, Ross shows a traditional Shaker-style kitchen with traditional handles, followed by an ultra-modern gloss kitchen with a handleless design.

He explains that Cannadines sells plenty of modern kitchens, although the traditional kitchen market remains particularly strong around Uckfield and the South East. Ross has even chosen the handleless gloss kitchen for his own home.

Could you work with your dad for 30 years and still have plenty of laughs together?

Ross joined Cannadines in 1996 and became the third generation of the Cannadine family to work for the company. In the reel, he explains that October 2026 will mark 30 years since he started working with his dad, Peter.

Ross now runs the business day to day and works across kitchen, bathroom and bedroom sales. Peter began working at Cannadines in the 1960s and has more than 50 years of experience in the bathroom industry.

Their answer shows that working together has included a good relationship, plenty of fun and knowing when the work needs to be taken seriously.

The team can manage each stage of the project, beginning with a home visit to discuss your requirements and measure the room. They then prepare the kitchen design before presenting the plans and quotation at their Uckfield showroom.
