Hard to believe this started life as a derelict barn.

What began as an abandoned structure was completely stripped back, rebuilt and transformed into a beautifully finished, self-contained annex. The wall and roof structures were upgraded, the ground-floor slab strengthened, and a full new M&E system installed alongside an air source heat pump.

Fully insulated and completed with a new kitchen and bathroom, the finished space feels a world away from where it started.

Projects like this are a great reminder of what can be achieved when a strong idea is matched with the right team, careful planning and quality craftsmanship.

Designed around the view, and around the people who would call it home.

These images capture the final stages of a project we’re incredibly proud to have completed in the Sussex countryside. From the outset, the brief was to create a home that worked around our client’s needs while making the most of the incredible views across the South Downs.

Every space was carefully considered, from the living areas through to the bedrooms and bathrooms, with the layout, glazing and finishes all working together to make the most of the setting.

A completed home we’re incredibly proud to have handed over.

Delivered in collaboration with , this project saw the property extended to create a bright, open-plan vaulted family room, complete with feature oak beams and expansive glazing. Extensive structural steelwork allowed us to completely reconfigure the ground-floor layout, followed by a full strip-out and renovation with underfloor heating throughout.

The kitchen, utility and boot room, all designed and supplied by Charles Ashley, sit seamlessly within the new space and bring the entire ground floor together beautifully.

Postcards from, believe it or not, the UK.

With weather like this, having a pool space at home is starting to make a lot of sense. This project is a great example of how we can create outdoor spaces that feel just as considered as the rest of the home, designed for relaxing, entertaining and making the most of days like these.

The kitchen may be the star of this project, but every detail around it was designed to make the new space feel like it had always belonged.

Created in collaboration with , the kitchen features modern handleless cabinetry from , premium appliances and a carefully considered layout designed around everyday family living.

From a building perspective, our priority was to integrate the extension seamlessly with the original property. The roof pitch, tile profile and colour were carefully matched so the roofline continues without an obvious break, while the external render was finished to complement the existing texture and colour.

Underfloor heating was installed throughout the extension, providing consistent warmth without compromising the clean sightlines around the kitchen island and living space. Large bifold and French doors now open the room directly onto a new patio and raised composite decking, creating an easy connection between the home and garden. Stone detailing adds a final traditional touch that works beautifully with the cottage-style exterior.

The result is a bright, functional family space where the building work and kitchen design come together as one cohesive transformation.

Our work included single-storey side and rear extensions, creating a bespoke golf simulator room, a new family space and a canopy-covered hot tub area. We also renovated the lounge with a custom media wall, constructed a new porch, replaced the garage and main roofs, and transformed the exterior with black feather-edge cladding and black flush casement glazing.

The rear garden was completely landscaped with a new patio, turfing and outbuilding, while Charles Ashley delivered the stunning kitchen at the heart of the home, designed around the family’s everyday needs.

A look back at one of the most exciting stages of the project, when the structure was watertight and the shape of the finished home was really beginning to emerge. With the timber frame, roof coverings and glazing all in place, you could finally start to see the vision coming together.

Looking back on one of our biggest new builds to date.

Now that the project is fully complete and being enjoyed by its owners, it's nice to take a moment to appreciate just how much work went into bringing it to life. From the first days on site through to the final finishing touches, this was a project that challenged and rewarded our entire team.

We're incredibly proud of what was achieved here. The scale, craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout make this one of our standout projects, and it's a great reminder of what can be achieved when a brilliant team comes together.
