🧱 LIME MORTAR REPOINTING –

Before & After

The Laverton, Westbury

Traditional brickwork repointing carried out for Westbury Town Council.
The existing mortar joints were carefully raked out to a depth of 25mm and repointed using NHL 3.5 hydraulic lime mortar.
After allowing a month for the mortar to cure and dry, Stormdry water-repellent masonry cream was applied to the brickwork and joints for added protection against rain pe*******on.
Helping to protect the building while maintaining the character of the original brickwork.

Full scaffolding was erected to provide safe access throughout the work, although it's not shown in the photos.

After many years using my trusty old estimating system, I've finally brought the paperwork into the 21st century!
I can now send customers clear, detailed quotations by email as a PDF, although traditional printed copies are still available if preferred.
Same experience, same personal service, just a more modern approach!

Cracked stone lintel replacement 🔨

The existing stone lintel above this window had cracked and needed replacing.

The old lintel carefully removed, the new stone lintel fitted and the stonework above was made good.

A relatively small repair, but an important one to get sorted before it deteriorates further.

Really pleased to receive another lovely 5 star review. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This job involved reconstructing the front steps and wall and widening the driveway. After 37 years in the building trade, it’s always good to know a customer is happy with the finished job, and especially nice to be described as competent, diligent and reasonably priced! I’m currently taking bookings for smaller building work, repairs and property maintenance in Trowbridge and the surrounding area.
