Those are the words of Oakridge Recruitment following their recent visit to our Alternative Learning Hub, where they delivered a session on careers and opportunities within the construction industry.
We're incredibly grateful to Oakridge Recruitment for taking the time to see our work first-hand and, more importantly, for sharing their expertise with our young people.
With more than 1 million young people currently not in education, employment or training across the UK, meaningful employer engagement has never been more important. Giving young people access to industry professionals helps them discover new opportunities, understand different career pathways and build confidence in their future.
It was fantastic to see them engaged, curious and eager to learn about the construction sector. As Oakridge Recruitment said: "The young people we spoke to were engaging and showed a genuine interest in construction and how they could develop skills and progress in different roles within this."
