🔧Thwaites 1 Tonne Dumper – Breakdown Repair⚡

A recent breakdown call-out for JAMES GROUNDWORKS & PLANT HIRE following a non-start issue with their Thwaites 1-tonne dumper suggested alternator failure

The customer had previously replaced the battery, but further inspection identified a broken battery positive terminal and a loose alternator drive belt.

Following replacement of the damaged terminal and adjustment of the belt, further electrical testing revealed a low voltage ignition supply to the alternator regulator therefore not charging the battery.

A new fused ignition feed was installed, restoring the charging system to a healthy 14.1V. ✅

⏱️ From the initial breakdown call to fault diagnosis and completed repair, completed within a few hours.
