ELECTRICAL TESTING FOR RENTED PROPERTIES

The law on electrical testing in domestic rental properties is changing shortly. From 1st July 2020 any properties newly tenanted will require an electrical condition report & from 1st April 2021 all existing tenanted properties will need to comply as well.

If a property has not had electrical works carried out in recent years, it may be that some upgrading is required, but we can always advise on this and will always give you all the options available.

There are over 5500 rented properties just in Torbay. As we get closer to the April 2021 deadline, most electrical companies and electricians are going to get really busy. AN UPDATE FROM WILLS ELECTRICAL SERVICES

Its been a long time since we last posted on here. We've been really lucky over the last couple of years, thanks to our wonderful customers, we've been incredibly busy and the business has grown massively.

Like many of you, we closed down all business, other than emergencies, from the end of March to the beginning of May. But the good news is we are now partially back trading!

I hope you will understand that currently, unless in an emergency, we are only working in unoccupied properties and peoples gardens. If we do need to enter peoples properties, we have taken the necessary steps to keep all parties as safe as possible. All vans are now stocked with throw away gloves, anti-bacterial wipes, hand sanitiser and face masks.

We are slowly building up business again, but until we can safely enter peoples houses, its going to be difficult to be full steam ahead. If you require any works where it is safe for you and us to do so, please let us know. Now is the time to get these jobs done before we get busy again! Please call me on 01803 611484 or 07890813770.
