👷‍♂️ Construction update: Cat & Fiddle Pub Refurbishment 👷‍♂️

We are pleased to announce that Phase 1 of the refurbishment works at the Cat & Fiddle Inn (Clyst St Mary, Exeter) have now been completed.

This initial phase has focused on stabilising and upgrading key elements of the building, laying a strong foundation for its full transformation.

With this milestone achieved, we are now preparing to move into Phase 2, which will focus on bringing the pub back into operational use.

This next stage will see the character and energy of the Cat & Fiddle restored, creating a welcoming and vibrant space for the local community once again.

We’re excited to continue this journey and look forward to breathing new life into this fantastic pub.

🙏 Thank you Michelmores Property Awards for shortlisting Brampton House in the Residential Project of the Year (35 homes and under) category this year!

We're so proud of this project that we've worked on in partnership with Torbay Council, Co Create Architects and Principality Building Society. The conversion of Brampton Court Hotel in Torquay into 14 affordable homes for social rent has been recognised by prestigious award bodies again and again.

Fingers crossed for 25th June when the winners will be announced! 🤞

🛠️ We are pleased to announce that we have started work on a new project in partnership with St Petrock & Heavitree Parish Lands Charity, supporting the refurbishment of much-needed almshouse accommodation in Exeter.

👷 The first phase starts at Frances Gardens where we are upgrading some of the 12 ground and first-floor flats. Once complete, the upgrades will help ensure the flats continue to provide safe, comfortable and independent living for current and future residents.

We've always admired this local charity's work. They provide housing for people aged 55+ who are able to live independently but are on a low income and have a strong local connection to Exeter. It's important that local people feel supported, and we're only too pleased to be working on these upgrades to ensure the flats provide a safe and comfortable home for years to come.

Once our work at Frances Gardens is complete, we will be moving on to work on two additional properties in the city owned by the charity. We'll keep our social media pages updated so that you can see the progress!

This latest recognition follows recent national award success for the scheme at Property Week's RESI Awards where it won the Social Impact Initiative award.

We’re delighted to share that Brampton House has won the Social Impact Initiative award at the Property Week RESI Awards 2026. 🎉

The project transformed the former Brampton Court Hotel in Torquay into 14 high-quality affordable homes for social rent, delivered by Armada Property UK in partnership with Torbay Council and Co Create Architects . 🏠

As the first completed project under the Hotels to Homes programme, Brampton House is already making a real difference to the local community by helping tackle housing need, regenerating an underused building and creating local employment opportunities. 🙌

We'd like to wish the Exeter College Rugby team the best of luck as they head off to Japan to represent England at an international schools rugby tournament!

Armada Property UK is pleased to sponsor the team's shirts as they head off to East Asia this weekend to play at the 2026 SANIX tournament.

Hosted by the Japan Rugby Football Union, the event brings together top youth teams from around the world. The Exeter College squad of 30 includes three players who have just returned from playing for the England Under 18s plus current Exeter Chiefs Official Academy players.
