Another garden transformation completed 🌱✨
This client knew exactly what they wanted — a child-friendly, low-maintenance play area that was practical, hard-wearing and, most importantly, within budget.
The existing area was enclosed with a fence and had a tarmac base. While the tarmac provided a solid foundation, it wasn’t ideal for children to play on, so we recommended installing a 10mm shock pad underneath the artificial grass to provide that extra layer of cushioning and comfort.
Drainage wasn’t an issue here thanks to the existing drainage at the rear side wall and the natural fall of the area.
The process 👇
🧹 Thoroughly jet washed and swept the existing tarmac
💧 Allowed the area to dry completely
📏 Installed and cut the 10mm shock pad to size
🔗 Taped the shock pad sections together to minimise movement
✂️ Cut the artificial grass to fit perfectly
🟢 Secured the grass using specialist artificial grass adhesive
The result? A clean, safe and low-maintenance play area that makes great use of the existing space.
The clients were extremely happy with the finished result — and even better, we hear the children are absolutely loving their new play area! ❤️

🌿 Recent Artificial Grass Project 🌿
Here’s a look at one of our recent project, where the clients were looking for a clean, low-maintenance and practical garden solution.
With a dog at home, artificial grass was a great choice. This premium 40mm pile not only looks fantastic, but is also designed with everyday life in mind:

The finished result has transformed the space into a fresh, tidy and usable garden that the clients were absolutely delighted with.
And judging by the comments, their four-legged friend was pretty happy with it too! 🐶💚

✨ **Another transformation complete!** ✨

Our client wanted something **more up-to-date without being over the top** — smart, clean and, most importantly, **low maintenance**.

We achieved exactly that by completely excavating the existing patio, removing a whopping **18 tonnes of material**! 💪🏽

As the original patio had no drainage, we also installed **ACO channel drains**, giving the new patio a much smarter and more discreet finish while ensuring effective water management.

For the paving, we used **Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone** in a 900 x 600mm format, creating a clean, contemporary look while keeping that timeless natural-stone feel.

The joints were finished using a **brushed-in resin-based jointing compound**, which was then struck in to create a firmer, stronger and longer-lasting finish — **highly recommended!** 👌🏽.
🌿 Another little detail that made a BIG difference! 🌿
We installed softwood sleepers along the fence line, creating a clean, defined edge and adding some structure to the garden.
There was also a rather large tree stump in the way that was looking like it was going to be more hassle than it was worth! 😅
Rather than fight it, we worked with it — and it actually turned out to be a fantastic feature of the garden, complementing the new patio beautifully. 👌🏽
To help keep the lawn at a more consistent level, we also installed a small sleeper retaining wall, creating a neat transition between the different areas.
Once the planting goes in, these spaces are really going to come to life 🌱🌸

✨ 72m² Composite Decking Transformation ✨
Decking isn’t everyone’s cup of tea… but for this garden, it was the perfect solution! 👌

Due to the different levels and fall across the garden, the clients didn’t have many practical options. The nearest flat area was quite a distance away, so they wanted to replace the existing decking like-for-like — but with a more durable, low-maintenance finish.

Originally considering a traditional timber finish, they decided that composite decking would be the better choice for both aesthetics and longevity.

🔨 The transformation

The existing decking was completely stripped out, including the old subframe. Unfortunately, there was a significant amount of rot throughout the original base, so a full replacement was the only sensible option.

The new subframe was constructed using treated timber, with additional protection built into the installation:

• Posts concreted into the ground were pre-treated with bitumen waterproofing paint to help protect against moisture and extend their lifespan.
• The entire deck frame was deck-taped, helping prevent moisture from sitting on top of the timber and reducing the risk of future rot.
• New composite boards were then installed to create a clean, modern and long-lasting finish.

The clients originally considered Millboard but chose this system as it offered a fantastic finish while working better with their budget.

🔥 WHAT A TRANSFORMATION! 🔥
This is a perfect example of what the Praesto team can do with a garden that’s ready for a complete transformation. 💪🌿 From a bit of a garden bombshell 💣 to a seriously beautiful outdoor space…

We’ve created a soft, natural approach to retaining the newly turfed lawn using softwood sleepers, giving the garden structure without taking away from its character. The old fence was taken out and was in need of a brand new close board fence which has given the garden more privacy and looks great.

The patio has been finished using 600 x 300mm Indian Grey sawn & honed sandstone, and what a choice by the clients! 👌

The tones, texture and clean finish have completely lifted the garden and brought the whole space together. Now they’ve got a beautiful, practical garden ready to be enjoyed for many summers to come. ☀️🍻🌿

Another project completed ✅
For this project, we were asked to work closely to the client’s design, and the whole process came together smoothly.

The client chose a 6ft double-skinned wall, built in a traditional brick bond, which we continued around the corner of the patio. The patio itself was finished using Indian sandstone in a multi-size layout, creating a really natural and inviting space.

We also created a circular feature, incorporating ducting ready to supply the water and extraction for a future water feature. 💧

The team did a fantastic job, achieving everything the client wanted and bringing their vision to life.

The result? A beautiful, sociable outdoor space that’s perfect for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying time with family and friends. 🏡🍃

The brief was simple: create a modern, clean-looking outdoor space that would be easy to maintain and enjoyable to use.

The clients chose Verso Cream tiles paired with Roman Split Silver cladding from , creating a fresh, contemporary finish.

We also incorporated a drainage channel around the property, helping with water management while allowing better airflow around the space.

The result is a clean, modern and low-maintenance outdoor area that the clients are absolutely delighted with. 🙌

From tired and dated to a fresh, family-friendly garden 🌿✨
This garden was in need of some serious TLC, so we stripped it right back and started again.

Using beautiful Raj Indian Sandstone, we’ve created a much more practical, inviting and sociable space — perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

We also identified and resolved some existing drainage issues, making sure the finished garden not only looks great but functions properly too.

Another transformation completed, and most importantly, very happy clients! 🙌
